Wait, what?

It's crazy to believe that another week of classes has already flown by in Valencia!! Monday-Wednesday this past week I spent all my free time at the ISA office studying for our grammar midterm on Thursday. Let's just say it's a good thing I did, because even with all my studying, it was still extremely difficult.

Culture class has been moving along a little better. I've gotten more accustomed to our professor's rapid speaking, and she has been breaking up the coursework to help our brains out haha! In addition to taking lots of notes about history in Spain (which the nerd in me doesn't mind), she also shared a YouTube clip with us about the economic crash in Spain (click here). Don't worry, it has English subtitles! We also started watching a popular Spanish sitcom called Los Serrano. This reminded me of high school when Mrs. Severson would let us watch Everybody Loves Raymond in Spanish class when our brains needed to relax :) In culture class we also all had to find a news article (about Spain) to share with the class. I found one about the running of the bulls in Pamplona, and the injuries that always seem to happen.

Unfortunately we won't get our grammar midterms or our first compositions back until tomorrow, so my nervous-Nellie tendencies win today. Our culture professor brought Horchata to share with the class on Thursday afternoon, which was super nice of her! I had already tried it, and didn't care for it, but some of my classmates seemed to like it. (Read about horchata here)

It sure is funny how quickly time passes when you're busy... here's to another week of classes in Spain!
