Our next (and final accommodation in Paris, thankfully) is open and airy, which
felt great after our uncomfortably hot day yesterday. We got settled into our room and relaxed for
a while before deciding how to approach the day.
First thing on the list- see the Eiffel Tower
of course! Judy and I found a cute
little market near our metro station, and grabbed food for a picnic near the
Eiffel Tower. It was a fun way to spend
a few hours, and we took lots of great pictures (see below).
Next, we used our Paris Pass to hop on the
double decker bus tour of Paris that hits all the highlights. We saw the Champ de Mars, Notre Dame, the
D’Orsay Museum, and then decided to stop back by the Lourve for better
pictures, as well as a Starbucks break. Again, we jumped back on the bus tour
and saw the Opera, Champs Elysees Etoile, Grand Palais, and the Trocadero. We grabbed more food from the market and ate
dinner in front of the Eiffel Tower. The
park was packed; lots of locals and tourists
alike. We again used one of our Paris
Pass perks- the Seine River cruise! A
lovely hour filled with tranquility and majestic views was the perfect way to
end our second (and vastly improved) day in Paris.
